Atlassian has just sent an email to all customers announcing a pricing policy change with increases that range from 10% to 25% depending on the hosting model (Server vs. Cloud) and user tier. The table that follows summarizes the scope of products and apps affected:

Data Center, Atlassian Stack, and professional services (TAM and Premier Support) remain unchanged.

This price change will go into effect on October 12. From that date, all new orders and quotes will bear the new prices independently of whether they are for new licenses, renewals, or upgrades.

The hidden advantages

Customers that act promptly may turn this price surge to their advantage. But to do so, they need first to understand Atlassian licensing policies properly and then take the right course of action.

Of course, we’re aware very few customers can keep up with the pricing policies of all their vendors — that’s precisely why we’d like to offer you six tips that will shortcut your way to informed decision-making and minimized Atlassian-related costs.
